Last-minute tickets for Paris2024
Join the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games
On the 26th of July, the Olympic Games will kick off in Paris with a unique opening ceremony on the Seine. Then, on August 28th, the Paralympic Games will start. In and around Paris, there are some great venues being used for the Games, such as Versailles, Montmartre, and the Grand Palais.
In October, I was lucky to obtain tickets for some events, and I’m looking forward to attending the Olympics for the very first time.
Good news: there are still official tickets available! Other parties are probably selling tickets, but those are not trustworthy (and insanely expensive).
How to get tickets:
Check the available tickets on tickets.paris2024.org. Note that not all sports will be in Paris (e.g., football or basketball matches). The cheapest tickets are only €15.
Every Thursday at 10:00 CET, new tickets will be available in different sports. The best way to stay updated about these sales is to subscribe to the newsletter of Paris2024 (click on login/register). (Update: they are releasing tickets daily now!)
Since May this year there is an official resale platform for the Olympic games and Paralympic Games. The advantage is that the prices are the same as the original ticket prices.
Consider skipping the Olympic Games and going to the Paralympic Games.instead. They are a bit less crowded, and there are also Discovery Passes available.
If you have some more money to spend you also can check the available hospitality and travel packages.

First newsletter coming soon!
My first official newsletter will follow within a week, and it will be about the European Summer of Sports.
Don’t worry - I will only use the big sports events as a theme for a post packed with travel advice featuring some key locations. You can probably guess some of them.
Add yourself to the list
With the ‘Add This to Your Itinerary’ newsletter (and guess it will be once in 3 weeks) I’d like to share travel inspiration about:
Destinations I’ve been to (cities, countries, regions)
Endless possibilities for itineraries, including overland journeys
And of course some practical and insightful travel tips
